CVWI acts to improve the economic, physical, cultural and general lives and well-being of Clarence Valley women.
CVWI operates from a broad feminist philosophy of inclusiveness and empowerment of women; on social justice principles and with a commitment to recognising cultural diversity.
It is committed to not discriminate against women regardless of race, culture, religion, age, sexual orientation, income, lifestyle, health, age or ability.
Clarence Valley Women Inc (CVWI) was established as an outcome of the highly successful 2002 ‘Clarence Valley Women ~ Discover Our Way Project’. A programme funded by the NSW Department for Women.
CVWI was incorporated in June 2003 as a non profit community based organisation. Its aim is to develop and promote the roles, opportunities, choices and sustainable outcomes of women in the Clarence Valley.
The Board of Management meets monthly. A General Membership meeting is held on a quarterly basis. The venues for General Meetings are rotated between Grafton and the Lower Clarence.
